Heres another wood hot tub that can be used indoors or outside,with or without electricity, and most all building materials can be purchased from your local lumberyard. Quality plywood from 1/2" thick to 1" thick,
depending on the size of the tub, can be effectively coated and sealed with epoxy and fiberglass cloth to produce a waterproof, long lasting surface that can be scrubbed for cleaning and maintenance. Coloring can be added to the epoxy or the tub can be left natural to show the beauty of the wood, and trim wood of choice can be added around the top of the tub.

Size is optional. The hex tub can be small and 2-person cozy, tall and narrow for a solo soaking tub, or short and wide for a family tub. It can be built to fit into a particular space, or portable, depending on size and accessories.

One builder loads his 2 person tub into the back of his truck and hauls it to parties, where he fills it with a hose or from a creek and fires up the submersible Snorkel wood burning hot tub heater, all in the back of his truck. When the parties over he siphons out the water and has a relaxed drive home. When my daughter was very small we used to set one of our tubs alongside the horse corral and heat the water for a nighttime dip; especially fun on starry nights in the winter or when it was snowing.

The tub can be fitted with conventional jets and heaters, or your choice of wood-burning heaters which make the tub ideal for remote locations. For the ultimate in simplicity, fill the tub with a hose connected to a hot water tap and enjoy a soak in fresh water free of chemicals. Instead of wasting the water, rig a hose bib for a drain in the side or bottom of the tub and water the lawn and trees.
